Markham's Got Talent and Unmasking MSH
Good Morning Markhamites,
Markham Main Street farmer’s market kicks off this weekend! More on that below.
In case you didn’t hear it, Kinton Ramen has dropped the price of their pork ramen in response to Inflation. “We understand the financial pressures facing our customers, and we are committed to supporting them by offering high-quality dining experiences at more affordable prices.”
So why not grab some adjusted-for-inflation Ramen this weekend?
Today’s read time is less than 4 minutes.
Markham’s got Talent?
For the second year, in partnership with Markham Arts Council, Markham Talent is looking for the top musicians, models, actors and dancers in Ontario. After a successful inaugural season last year, many competitors went on to record singles or book their first spots.
The open casting call has two divisions, 16 and under and 17 plus. The artists are required to submit a 60-second video audition by June 6th. Moving on to the semifinals in June and the finals in September gives contestants a chance to compete for cash prizes or to be signed to a talent contract.
The semifinals will be held at Xinflix Auditorium in Markham on June 24th and 25th, and seats are just $25
Markham Stouffville Hospital removes masking requirement.
In a sign of ~the times~, MSH has announced that.
While this is excellent news for everyone who wants to raw dog the air in the emergency waiting room, the hospital wants to ensure a respectful environment for those who still wish to remain masked, including visitors and staff.
Masking will still be in place in the hospital where there are instances of an outbreak or if a patient’s care requires it. Masks will also be available at the entrances, and the hospital is asking visitors to postpone their visits if they feel unwell.
