After wrapping up some official duties in Markham this weekend, the Prime Minister stopped by the Taste of Asia fast-food restaurant at Pacific Mall and... danced for his food.
On Canada Day, the city welcomed 50 new Canadians at a ceremony at City Hall, which feels extra special for some reason.

Markham Athletes find new homes and gear up for the Paris Olympics.
It’s been a week of news for Markham athletes - Toronto Blue Jays Closer Jordan Romano had a setback in his injury recovery and is now seeing a specialist for his elbow, effectively shutting him down for the season.
Jeff Skinner had his contract bought out by Buffalo and immediately jumped to the Edmonton Oilers after turning down an offer from the Maple Leafs. Will his streak of not making the playoffs finally be over?
Steven Stamkos is headed to Nashville after the Tampa Bay Lightning decided to move on from the two-time Stanley Cup champion. It’s their loss, I guess.
But professional sports aren’t the only thing going on right now. Many Markham athletes are gearing up to represent Canada at the Paris Summer Games.

Michelle Li is off to compete in Badminton. A three-time Pan American Games winner, is it now her time to claim an Olympic victory?
One of the youngest athletes going to the games, Markham’s Ruien (Angel) Xiao, was named to Canada’s fencing team as a late addition when a team allocation was opened up. She initially missed qualifying for the games by one place in the Pan-American Qualifier earier in the year.
And lastly, Milos Raonic will be heading to Paris after last competing in the London 2012 Olympics.
